Dr. Eddie White, JR., DMD

Dr. Edward White, Jr. (Eddie) has lived in the Lowcountry for most of his life, graduating from Wando High School in 1978, then Furman University in 1982. He completed his Degree at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dentistry in 1986. Dr. White practiced with Restorative Dentistry Associates in West Ashley for 11 years before opening Sewee Dental Care in 1998. He followed in his father’s footsteps (Dr. Edward White, DMD), who was also a dentist and was one of the first Endodontists in South Carolina. He enjoys all phases of dentistry, especially patient education and meeting new people. He is passionate about maintaining your natural smile and making sure you understand every aspect of your dental needs so you can take ownership of your treatment. He takes pride in practicing common sense, non-extreme dentistry.

Dr. White’s wife Laurie is a dental hygienist and they have three children- Clay, Ivy, and April. Clay is a Software Engineer and plays trumpet in local bands, Ivy is in dental school at MUSC, and April goes to Wando High School.

Dr. White is involved in preserving nature and the wildlife in the Lowcountry through the Sewee Association. He also owns the local music venue and production company Awendaw Green and enjoys connecting local artists to the music community. He enjoys biking, music, being with people, and anything that is fun and involves his family.
